Made in West Hollywood
Leather enchantments from the forest floor, handmade in West Hollywood.
“A face the leaves have only begun to claim.”
“Just enough mystery.”
“All in the angle of the eye.”
“Wide eyes see everything.”
“Crown yourself in quiet woods.”
“Still water, kept close.”
“Small things that fall and grow.”
“Haute couture, hive edition.”
“The forest wove it; you only wear it.”
“Pinned from the oldest tree in the grove.”
“Sharp enough to remember.”
“Every strand accounted for.”
“The whole colony, worn as one.”
“Warm as banked embers.”
“Carry a little wild with you.”
“Three scales from the deep current.”
“Three tokens from the royal game.”
“Three cells from the hive’s heart.”
“A lucky penny, if pennies buzzed.”
“Something old lives under this cap.”
Occasional notes on new pieces, one-offs, and what is taking shape at the workbench.
I’m David. Everything here is made by hand in West Hollywood, out of vegetable-tanned leather I cut, tool, dye, and finish myself. No factory, no outsourcing, no two pieces exactly alike.
It began with masks, then wandered off into the woods. Leaves, acorns, bees, toadstools—small wild things with a little fae in them, made to carry.
If you want something you don’t see, ask. A lot of what I make started as somebody’s question.
